On my journey to write about my life, most of my memories of the past were just mine. I did talk some to my mom and sisters, but not very much. I don't know why, I guess I wanted to write about what I remembered. However, when it came time to tell you about getting married and my life after that, I realized that there was another person always around who could jog my memory. In fact, he became an important part of my memories. That person is my husband. Imagine that!
So, I asked Bill if he had any memories of Fort Hood that I hadn't blogged about. He told me about the night that we thought someone was trying to break into the house. We got up and looked out our bedroom window. We saw a cow in the front yard having a late-night snack on our shrubs!
The cow, along with a few more, had wandered over from the range there on Fort Hood and was enjoying the luscious food in the housing area, which I'm sure was a whole lot better than the grass in the Texas pastures.

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creater of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
Isaiah 40:28
Good you were at Fort Hood and not Fort Greeley - it would've been a
Grizzly.
I did not know they have grass in Texas? I thought it was all tumble weed.
