In October 1978, Lee and I took a mom and tot swim class.  The moms got in the swimming pool with the tots learning to swim.  Each mom was to make sure her tot did what he was supposed to do.  For instance, if the tot didn't put his head under the water like Big Frog, the instructor, told him to, then the mom would gently put the tot's head under the water.  Lee had some trouble with parts of the class, but in the end he graduated from being a tadpole to being a little frog.

1978...That was a very good year. 1978 so long ago but seems like yesterday. Sounds like you have some good memories. I wonder if it was so good in 1978? I remember my kids...somethings they would do and others things they wouldn't. You could coax until the cows came home and they would not do it. I'm talking about putting their heads under water.
