A year ago I talked about a sketch that my twin sister Dottie drew of a sailor with the title of "My Idol!" We have been giving it back and forth to each other for years. Here is my original post with all the details. In March of last year, I told you about the last time she gave it to me.
So I had My Idol in my possession when we made our move last year. I had it on the refrigerator door. When I was packing up boxes, I told myself that I needed to put it some place safe so I wouldn't lose it. I remember taking it off of the refrigerator. After that, my mind went blank. I couldn't remember where that safe place was. It didn't do me much good to put it in a safe place if I couldn't remember where that was!
I took me a couple months to even realize that I didn't know where it was. Then I started looking high and low! I looked in places I thought I might have put it, I looked in places I didn't think I put it, and I looked in boxes that I had halfway unpacked. I just couldn't find it. And it bugged me.
I even asked Dottie if I had given it back to her, thinking maybe I did and didn't remember it. After all, I couldn't remember where I had put it in the first place. She said no.
The other day I was looking through my jewelry box and there it was hiding underneath some of my jewelry. What a relief! I now have it in a safe place where I can see it. But please don't tell my twin sister that I found it. She'll probably say something like, "I'm glad I'm not old enough to be so forgetful."

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.
God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16
I'm glad I'm not old enough to be so forgetful. Now, what was it exactly
that you misplaced? Love, your twin sister.
I was glad to read that I am not the only person who does that.
