We have spent time with my twin sister and her husband and son, my younger sister and her husband and their older son and his wife and two sons (are you confused?!), our daughter and her family, her anti-in-laws, and our son and his fiance. We continue to eat too much. Almost all of the goodies that I made were gone on Saturday. By tomorrow they'll be gone, I'm sure. I guess that is a good thing.
We've been busy today because we're having ten people over this evening for dinner. It is nothing fancy, just sandwiches, pasta salad, shrimp tray, party tray, chips and dips, and all the regular stuff that are needed to make the meal complete. Our son's fiance's dad is bringing chili, our daughter's anti-mother-in-law is bringing a chocolate fountain, and our son-in-law and two granddaughters are bringing wassail. I made a cake with mandarin oranges and icing with crushed pineapple in it. I think I'll skip everything else and go for the chocolate fountain! Also, I have a couple of surprises for the evening up my sleeve.
Tomorrow it over to our daughter and son-in-law's house to watch the granddaughters get excited over Santa coming and to eat a great meal.
This is our first Christmas living close to our children, grandchildren, and what I consider extended family, and it has been wonderful. I want to be around them as much as possible. This past month has gone by so fast. So, we are in the midst of having a very merry Christmas. I hope that all of you are having one too!

So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us." And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them. Luke 2:15-20
It sounds like you are having a very Merry Christmas. Family makes the
season bright.
Happy New Year to you cyber friend.
