Is It a Sled?

The thing that I remember most about our first Christmas as a married couple was Bill's disappointment.  I didn't mean to disappoint him!  I bought him a valet for a Christmas present.  It was in a box that could be mistaken for a sled.  When Bill saw the box, he just knew it was a sled.  I think he is over his disappointment because now we laugh about it.  He still uses that valet.  Below is a photo of the "sled."  It is the package standing on end to the left and wrapped in gold paper.  The second is a recent photo of the valet.

                                               

The Christmas tree in the left photo was our first and only real tree.  It was so dry.  As we were carrrying it up to our apartment, pine needles were falling off.  In another post I'll tell you about what we did for a tree the next year.
