I am an ordinary person living an ordinary life. I consider my husband, children, grandchildren, and the rest of my family to be extraordinary. Not only am I lucky that they are my family, I’m honored that they are. To find out more about me, read the list below. I made a list of 100 things about me. This list is the first 25.
1. I am a Christian.
2. I like and love my husband of also 35 years.
3. I am organized (most of the time).
4. I like to talk, I like food, and I like to talk about food.
5. I like to walk, but not to sweat.
6. I have a twin sister. (There were three of us, but only two of us made it.)
7. My twin and I look EXACTLY alike, but I’m prettier.
8. I collect old refrigerator dishes, M&M dispensers, mini-M&M guys, stamps, angels, wicker baskets, ice picks, old things made of enamel, matchbook covers, and tins. I’m sure I collect other things, but I can’t think of them at the moment. Update: My daughter reminded me that we give each other little rabbits. She has given me some really cute ones. How could I forget?! Shame on me.
9. I have an angel hung above 10 doors in our house.
10. Purple is my favorite color.
11. I paint my toenails in the summer.
12. I do not take any medications. I am healthy for a woman of my “vintage.”
13. I am polite (most of the time).
14. I plan to read the entire Bible this year.
15. I like to crochet, embroider, and do counted cross-stitch.
16. I like to read.
17. I’ve written down every book I’ve read since 1960. (Total as of June 30 is 1,627.)
18. I’ve worn contacts since 1968.
19. I’ve worn hearing aids since 1981.
20. But, thank goodness, (most of the time) I have a good sense of smell!
21. One good thing about not hearing very well is the ability to sleep with my good ear on the pillow and not hear my husband snoring. But I really don’t mind him snoring. It tells me that he is nearby (and that he loves me enough to stay in my bed after all these years).
22. Country music is my favorite, then music from the ‘50s and ‘60s.
23. I like to laugh.
24. I like puns.
25. I like a clean house, but I don’t like to clean house.
I collect tins as well.
Great list! That is interesting that you don't take ANY meds at this
point.
On #8: What about bunnies? Or is that just our special collecting?
